Duncan Evans, also known as Henry Hyde Bronsdon from the Gentlemen’s Club of A Forest Of Stars, is a singer-songwriter musically rooted in the tradition of English Folk and murder ballads, and is influenced by artists such as Nick Cave, Tom Waits and Roy Harper. With his solo recordings Duncan Evans pursues a storyteller approach where he is rather focussing on the darker side of things, sometimes in a delicate way, sometimes macabre. In accordance with the genre his music is primarily acoustic and stripped down, but it is suffused with intensity, power and emotional depth.
Hört sich für mich an wie eine Mischung aus Nick Cave, 16 Horsepower und den American Recordings von Johnny Cash. Also, ultrageil. Wird auf jeden Fall eingetütet!
