Ehemalige Band des jetzigen Despised Icon-Drummers. Wesentlich Core-befreiter als das, was der Kerl heutzutage spielt. Dürfte dem ein oder anderen hier auch gefallen. U.a. blastet Alex Pelletier bei einem Lied länger als eine Minute am Stück (er selbst nennt es „Hiroshima Blast“)--

Amon Amarth und Soilwork als Begründer des Melodic Death Metal hinzustellen… Ich bitte dich. 😐 Als die ihre jeweils ersten Platten rausgebracht haben, hatte die Szene ihre Blütezeit schon hinter sich…Ich würde sagen, sie haben mitunter die Blütezeit noch ein paar Jahre verlängert. Und die ersten 4 Scheiben von Soilwork sind für mich nach wie vor mitunter das beste, was diese Schublade hervor gebracht hat.
