Adam Guseinov, a leader of Dagestan’s paramilitary underground, was killed in a special operation conducted by the Federal Security Service on January 27. Federal records show that the criminal was the mastermind and the actual perpetrator of a number of terrorist attacks.
According to Russia’s National Antiterrorist Committee, two gunmen from the Khasavyurt terrorist group were surrounded at a private house in the village of Severny. When told to surrender, they responded by shooting. Both gunmen were killed in a shootout. The Federal Security Service officers did not sustain any injuries.
