Es folgt, was man von mir erwartet:

Lustig, den hab ich schon vor 15 Jahren gehört, also bevor es passiert ist. Ausser natürlich es ist nie passiert, sondern war von je her ein Witz. Was der Fall ist.1. Die Beschreibung, der Carrier Battle Group ist völlig falsch was die Art und Anzahl der Begleitschiffe betrifft. Die Nennung von Panzerkreuzern allein ist schon ein absoluter Brüller, waren diese doch Schiffe der Epoche des 1. WK (einige wenige wurden auch noch im 2. WK eingesetzt).
2. Für diesen Witz müssten alle Verantwortlichen auf den min 12 Schiffen einer CVBG unfähig sein eine Seekarte zu lesen oder das Radar/Sonar zu bedienen bzw. die automatischen Meldungen des Navigationscomputers zu verstehen. Ausserdem müssten die Piloten und Operateure in den Helikopter und Aufklärungsflugzeuge die ständig in der Luft sind absolut blind sein und ebenfalls unfähig ihre Instrumente zu lesen.
3. Die USS Lincoln war 1997 nicht in Übersee. Am 11. Oktober hat siean der Fleet Week in San Francisco teilgenommen. War also an der Pazifikküste der USA. Ergo kann die Carrier Battle Group nicht in der Nähe Europas gewesen sein an besagtem Datum. Ebenso ist im Jahresbericht (link siehe unten) nichts dergleichen vermerkt.
4. 1997 war CO der Lincoln Capt Robert F. Willard. Ein Richard James Howard kennt die Navy nicht.
