MADBALL – gehören jetzt zu Nuclear Blast
MADBALL haben einen Vertrag für Europa mit Nuclear Blast geschlossen. Hier die Pressemitteilung:
„New York Hardcore veterans MADBALL just inked an European deal with Nuclear Blast Records.
The bands debut for the new label is planned to be released sometime in 2010 – more info to be announced soon!
Commented bandleader Freddy Cricien: „I’m very proud to announce that we have signed with Nuclear Blast, for Europe and it’s various territories. We are entering a new and very important chapter in our lives/career, and I know this is the right home for us in Europe…without a doubt! I feel that all the folks at NB genuinely understand and respect our history, longevity, legacy, etc. I also know they believe in our future,in what we still have to offer.. Which will manifest itself in our new album coming out this year! Not to mention, it is an honor and privilege to be label mates with the legendary Agnostic Front. We have not shared a label together since our first release on In Effect/Relativity in 1989. O wei…gehöre zwar grundsätzlich nicht zur NB-Hater-Fraktion (höchstens einiges an Musik missfällt mir da), aber das wirkt irgendwie, ich weiß nicht…unpassend? Peinlich?

Wie es da schon diskutiert wird, werden die Jungs jetzt sicherlich nicht ihren Stil wechseln. ssie haben schon auf Roadrunner veröffentlicht (Set It Off, DMS & Look My Way). Das sind für mich die besten Sachen.

Wobei man’s ihnen nicht Böse nehmen kann, lukrativ ist das sicher. Und Szenendogmen können einen ja grundsätzlich am Arsch vorbei gehen…

Also nen Stilwandel (!) bei einer Band wie Madball (!!) halte ich ja auch für ein klein wenig unwahrscheinlich… ^^

Madball bei Nuclear Blast? Klingt ja bischen nach 1. April… aber eigentlich auch Konsequent.. NB würd‘ ja nix nehmen, was keine ordentliche Rendite abwirft, hehe. Und Pro Pain hatten die ja auch schonmal;)
