Einfach großartiger Rock mit starkem Gesang tollen Texten und Instrumentalarbeit. hab ich schon mal in einer Topliste der 100 Alternativealben gefunden und kann ich so unterschreiben. Einfach nur starke Song en masse.

Deftones – Diamond Eyes

Erinnert mich an Saturday Night Wrist wieder eine Mischung aus der Härte von Adrenaline/Arond The Fur und der Atmosphäre von White Pony.
Beste Songs der Opener Diamond Eyes und Beauty School.
Auf jeden Fall ein sehr starkes und abwehclsungsreiches Album.

Disembodied – Diablerie
Wegbereiter des Metalcores. Noch deutlich hardcorelastiger als heutige Vertret wie As I lay Dying. Das Album hat zwei coole Songs eines mit extrem verzerrten brachialen Gitarren (Anvilk Chandelier) und das andere mit Sprechgesang (Devil’s Grin) der Rest langweilt mich.

Hardcorerriffs treffen auf brachiale Screams, teilweise melancholische Spoken Word Parts

Ich höre gerade das zweite Album Heretic was wesetlich stärker ist.

Woher kennst du die Band ist ja jetzt eher nicht so dein Gebiet 😕

Weiß ich jetzt auch nicht mehr so genau, wahrscheinlich habe ich den Namen irgendwann mal in Zusammenhang mit Kiss It Goodbye aufgeschnappt…bleibt halt jetzt nur die Frage, woher ich Weichei die schon wieder kenne und wieso mir das Zeug gefällt…^^

€: ich höre gerade mal wieder rein…“Dislocation“ ist mal grandios, supersautolle Mischung aus erwähnten KIG, ganz alten Deftones und Machine Head, wie sie gerne klingen würden.

Nevermore – The Obsidian Conspiracy

Nevermore sind sone Band die ich mir so gut wie immer anhören kann. Waren doch die beiden Vorgängeralben einfach spitze. Damals hat mich „Enemies of Reality“ ziemlich umgehauen (trotz des eigenwilligen und verwaschenen sounds, derja später gerade gebogen wurde).
Also hab ich mir auch mal die ganz neue Platte angehört. Es fällt gleich auf, das die Songs wieder deutlich straffer und kürzer sind als noch auf dem Vorgänger.
Hier wird sofort losgeballert und ein Hammerriff nach dem anderen rausgehauen.
Alles beim alten also? Joar und das ist auch irgendwie das Problem. Ich hab das in der Form schon besser von Neverore gehört. Nach dem ersten Durchgang komts mir so vor als würden die Gesangsmelodien nicht immer so recht passen. Trotzdem sind nen paar tolle Songs enthalten. 🙂
Soviel von mir, ersteinmal. Aber Nevermore Platten brauchen sowieso immer eine kleine „Einhörphase“.
