Bad Ass Me ~ Totgehört ~ Verkaufe CDs Prüchtepunch mit Schuss "also ich würd mich echter als dumm den als einen Troll ansehe" - Ivan DirusDie Lethal ist großes Kino, viel besser kann man US Metal mit einer klitzekleinen Prise Prog eigentlich nicht spielen. Das Songwriting kommt auf den Punkt, die Melodien sind relativ eingängig, aber zu keinem Zeitpunkt auch nur annähernd zu eingängig oder gar kitschig, und werden von einem hervorragenden Sänger intoniert. Ich müsste mir mal andere Alben der Band anhören, aber die haben glaube ich nicht so ein hohes Ansehen. Die Menge der Bands in dem Sektor, die mehr als ein oder zwei wirklich relevante Alben gemacht hat, ist ja ohnehin sehr übersichtlich.
The Inside Room habe ich erst dreimal gehört und dabei ist bisher das mir schon vorher von Tripps Jahressampler bekannte und den Ausschlag zum Kauf gebende Carry Me Home das Highlight geblieben. Die Stimmung der Scheibe gefällt mir aber sehr gut, sie wird sicher noch wachsen.Die Lethal find ich auch hervorragend. Die 40 Watt Sun ist schon gut, aber ich hab einfach nie Lust auf das Album. Die transportierte Stimmung ist für mich ziemlich ähnlich der Watching From A Distance und die ist einfach deutlich besser. Wenn ich also mal Lust auf sowas habe, lege ich eigentlich immer die auf. Schade eigentlich, denn die 40 Watt Sun ist wirklich gut geworden.

Sowohl Warning, als auch 40 Watt Sun empfinde ich seltsamerweise als unglaublich nölig und nervtötend.

Hatte auch irgendwann schon einmal kurz reingehört, aber mit „gar nix kennen“ meinte ich, dass ich mich mit der Band noch nicht ernsthaft befasst habe. 😉
