When I was in Ireland for three weeks, understanding the English was not the problem, but understanding the Gaelic (or how its name is).

Me and my friend asked for „Att-len“, but the town’s name was correctly pronounced „Ath-lone“… 😀

Indeed, very strange dialect that some of teh Irish have. Also with the Scottish.
