Text number one:
Food additives are necessary to protect consumers from harmful bacteria and to extend the shelf-life of a product. They also have a cosmetic effect, like adding colour and flavour. Productions aremuch easier with food additives and they may improve the quality. For example, bread is often enriched by vitamins.
These days you can’t be sure about what you eat, when you eat something out of deep-freezers oder tins. For sure, there are labels on the products, but many of them will be meaningless to you.Would you also use plural in German? 😕

I didn’t thought about the meaning in German. I just saw this „s“ and then it would be are instead of is.

(1) What do you want to say with that? What’s the problem with this sentence and how should I write it correctly? Edit: Now I see it. ^^
(2) It stands in our texts in the way I wrote it, but it’s better, when I formulate it in a other way, so thank you.
(3)Oops. That was a tipping misstake.
(4) In the original text stands: „Of course, you all know about food labelling, you can find pretty long labels on a lot of products – but: even if you read them, many labels will be quite meaningless to you“--

But in that case you have to consider if the noun can be used as plural.--

(4) You can, but you can’t do that with „for sure“. If you want to change the „of course“, then write „certainly“.--
