NikI found out I’m speaking more fluently in situation I feel comfortable with, lately. I think that’s interesting, anyone else noticing such habits?
Generally I don’t distinguish between situations really. I just blabber. However … every time I talk to one of my parents in law my brain starts analysing what I just said. It’s weird, it’s like BLABLBLA…. **wait…. could I have said this better? Do I come across as a complete moron??** But when I’m at work I don’t give a sh*t about who I talk to or what about. Slightly odd.

Yep. I picked the task featuring the fictional text. Hope it was a good desicion. At least I was able to write a lot that I really needed the whole time.

I had my A-levels in English, too, but I cannot even remember what choices we had. I think we had a fictional text and/or a topic to discuss. Things may have changed, too.

We weren’t allowed to make any choice at all since there was only one topic everyone had to work on. Fortunately, it was a very easy article about language development in the UK, especially the political state of the Welsh language, so I didn’t have any problem with writing a good exam.

that might be the reason, hehe. Interestingly, we were allowed to make choices between different topics in other subjects, too, but for some reason that didn’t apply to English.

Doesn’t that depend on school form and chosen subjects? In my ‚Abitur‘ my english exam won’t be optional for it’s my advanced course 😉

Okay, maybe in Germany the whole thing works differently than in Bavaria. 🙂
The only subjects compulsory for the Abitur are German and Mathematics.--
