Reactivated death metal band MASSACRE — who yesterday announced that they were canceling their appearance at this year’s Wacken Open Air festival, set to take place July 31 – August 2, 2008 in Wacken, Germany — have issued the following update from vocalist Kam Lee:
„I’m attempting to work out a way to have MASSACRE appear at the Wacken fest for a final show. The reason why we may not appear is because of the cost of the flight and airplane tickets for all the members may be too much. But it is in discussion a way to work out for MASSACRE to be able to attend this fest.“
MASSACRE’s current lineup consists of DENIAL FIEND members Sam Williams (guitar), Curt Beeson (drums; NASTY SAVAGE), along with ex-MASSACRE/current DENIAL FIEND members Terry Butler (bass), Steve Swanson (guitars) and Kam Lee (vocals).
The band is scheduled to appear at the Central Illinois Metalfest on Sunday, July 20.

Den Arm aus dem Fenster, das Radio voll an, draußen hängt ein Fuchsschwanz dran...Für alle, die dieses Jahr nicht nach Wacken können (oder wollen), gibt es zumindest ein kleines Trostpflaster: MTV will am Donnerstag, den 31. Juli ab 21.30 Uhr das gesamte Konzert live übertragen.
