So You Me At Six haben ihr Jahr mal Revue passieren lassen mit nem Bulletin:
Let me start by saying, Aled, anything you can do, i can do far far worse.
Yes, i admit it, Aled ( Kigh) inspired me to do a ‚ YMA6 annual report‘ as it were, so thanks mate.
Where do we start?
2008 was a ridiculous year for our band!
– We released our debut album ‚Take off your colours‘ which entered the charts at number 15 in the mid weeks. To this day we have sold 20,000 copies, which in 3 months is mad crazy.– We got our cheeky faces onto Kerrang Magazines front cover….enough said.
– We were part of a UK arena tour with Fall Out Boy and Boys like Girls, which allowed us to fulfill one of our all time dreams, playing Wembley Arena.
– We completed 3 Sold out Headline tours in the past 12 months, ranging from the Vic Inn in Derby to the London Astoria.
– We kick started our European assault in Paris with FOB.
– We played two of the most amazing sets of our lives at this years Reading and Leeds festivals.
– We were part of the ‚ Give it a name festival‘ it was here we did our first ever signing, which was closed down because too many of you guys turned up, of course we told security to fuck themselves and we stayed with you for a further hour.
– We recently went to Ireland and played the Dublin Academy and Mandela Hall, both shows sold out. We realised that weekend that the boys Kids in Glass houses weren’t the guys we thought they were. We proudly refer to them as ‚one of those bands‘ that we could happily tour with for 6 months. An elite club which before only included The Audition, some of our best friends in the world.
– We’ve seen some of our best friends in the world rise to new levels. WATO, ALL FORGOTTEN, TONIGHT IS GOODBYE, FURTHEST DRIVE HOME AND ATTACK ATTACK are some of the best bands this country has ever produced, love them.
– In 2008 our band went from strength to strength, we did that. You and Us, we’re a team. Cliche/gay/sad what ever you may think of me for saying that, it’s true.
If you guys didn’t come to the shows, who the fuck would we be?
If you hadn’t cheered us on at some of the huge festivals we did this year, we would’ve crumbled.2008 was a sensational year for us, but 2009 will not follow in it’s footsteps if you guys start straying off and are not there.
We can’t thank you enough for an experience of a life time.

Ist auch eine sehr feine Band, die wie ich finde gut und gerne bekannter sein dürfte. Bin ma gespannt was am 15. in Köln so los ist wenn sie eins ihrer drei Konzerte aufm europäischen Festlandspielen. Muss mir da die Woche noch ne Karte für holen. <3
Gestern live in Köln waren die richtig gut! Gut eingespielt, gut drauf, gute setlist. Zwar nur 42 Minuten gespielt aber Album geht ja auch nur 53 min. Band hat sich noch mit allen unterhalten und abblitzen lassen wer wollte. Ich natürlich auch mit josh <3
Mal reingehört und es lediglich als „ganz OK“ empfunden. Kann man nebenbei laufen lassen, auf Partys hätt ich auch nichts gegen; so richtig weghauen tut’s mich jetzt aber nicht. Kann da deine Euphorie (wie auch für die Kids In Glass Houses) nicht ganz nachvollziehen, aber vielleicht ist’s auch einfach mehr dein Geschmack.
Ich steh ja schon seit geraumer Zeit auf das ganze Briten-Zeug wie kids In Glass Houses, You Me At Six, Tonight Is Goodbye, furhtest Drive Home, Go:Audio und so. Ist halt ganz gutes zeug iwo zwischen Indie, Alternative und Power-Pop. Kann man immer gut hören, macht Laune, hat auch immerhin noch nen gewissen anspruch und ist nicht total plattes Zeug, wie man vllt erst meinen könnte und nur der nächst logische Schritt meiner musikalischen Sozialisation^^
