Zum Thema Klassen und Skills:
The skill system seems different, even though everything is familiar enough. It takes you a few moments to realize that the list covers almost everything you’re familiar with from Morrowind, but that it’s been trimmed down substantially by the reduction of all the bladed weapon skills into one weapon class, „blades,“ and all the blunt weapon skills into another, „blunt weapons.“ Alongside this, the enchantment skill has seen big changes — instead of being a traditional skill, it’s an altar that you can interface with in the Mage Guild’s building.
Custom classes gain seven class skills, but they aren’t broken into „minor“ and „major.“ Each class skill is one step closer to expert level, and each skill can grant bonuses particular to that skill and level of skill. When you’ve mastered Athletics, for example, you’ll be able to jump off of the surface of water. With the simplification of the number of weapon skills and „class skill“ selections, classes are much more capable of being the masters of their chosen art or useful jack-of-all-trades. Even better, the changes to combat mean that you aren’t at a disadvantage if you want to be a sneaking character, be a bow-user, or use destruction magic — melee characters with high alteration are no longer the single best choice for a character class.
