Er hat ja vor kurzem schon folgendes Statement abgegeben:
FacebookSome of you may have noticed what has occured in the Vintersorg camp. For the ones that haven’t here’s the statement that Mr V made public on his personal FB. We get a lot of questions regarding this at the moment and will give you more info as soon as we see how the recovery goes.
„Seven days ago I was injured in an accident leading to some quite heavy down grade of my physical condition. I fell down and crashed head first on a concrete floor while helping out with moving some furniture. The accident is only to be blamed by myself due to stress andnot paying enough attention to saftey issues.
I got hurt in different ways.The most significant is three cracks in my head.bleeding in my brain and a disfunctional ear.
Im now trying to cure myself at the hospital and come back full strenght asap. As where I am in my recovery i wish to focus on getting better and not to go through the whole scenario over and over again. Take care of eachother…..life can show its ugly face when you least expect it“

Schon heftig. Wird nicht leicht, sich da rauszukämpfen. Ich weiß aus eigener Erfahrung, dass Kopfverletzungen über Wochen, Monate und Jahre sehr kräftezehrend und dadurch im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes Kopfsache sein können. Vielleicht wäre es besser, komplett zu pausieren, aber totaler Stillstand zehrt einen irgendwann wohl auch auf. Man kann nur das beste hoffen.
Unterdessen habe ich mich zuletzt mit dem neuen Nomans Land Album beschäftigt und bin nach Recherche wohl darüber gestolpert, dass das Album schon mindestens seit 2013 fertig ist. Zumindest haben sie es 2013 schon komplett kostenlos gestreamt, hatten anscheinend aber keinen Plattendeal bzw. eben kein Label, dass sich für die Veröffentlichung zuständig sah.
Und in diesem Zusammenhang hab‘ ich mir direkt mal wieder „Raven Flight“ angehört und war wieder angetan. Richtig gutes Album. Achja, auf „Last Crusade“ verzichten sie gänzlich auf Keyboardeinsatz. Trotzdem ein gutklassiges Album, dass man sich als Viking Metal Fan ruhig mal anhören darf.
Zum Labelthema: Schade, aber wieder ein Beweis dafür, dass man noch so gut sein kann und trotzdem nicht gesigned wird. Kennt sich da jemand aus? Gerade osteuropäische Bands scheinen’s da etwas schwerer zu haben. Das kann natürlich am „läppischen“ Umgang mit Ideologie zu tun haben, aber das ist auch nur eine Vermutung und kein Wissen meinerseits. Skyforger haben’s bei Metal Blade ja auch nicht lange durchgehalten. Nomans Land haben mit Massacre aber auf jeden Fall ein ordentliches Label erwischt.
