WITHIN TEMPTATION’s „The Heart of Everything“ sold 7,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 106 on The Billboard 200 chart. The Dutch female-fronted symphonic metal band’s first U.S. release for Roadrunner Records, „The Heart of Everything“ has also topped the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
In other chart news, SLAYER’s much-hyped re-release of the „Christ Illusion“ album has failed to make a dent, having shifted a little over 2,300 copies since being reissued on July 24 through Columbia Records. This brings the total number of „Christ Illusion“ copies sold in the U.S. to approximately 172,000.
