„Years In The Darkness“, the debut album from ARKAEA — the new band featuring FEAR FACTORY members Christian Olde Wolbers (guitar) and Raymond Herrera (drums) — sold 980 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. (Note: Internet/digital sales **ARE** included in the SoundScan totals.) The CD landed at position No. 39 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart.

„Blood Oath“, the new album from New York-based extreme metal legends SUFFOCATION, sold around 3,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 135 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD landed at position No. 2 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart.

„Pray For Villains“, the fourth full-length album from Santa Barbara, California’s DEVILDRIVER, sold around 14,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 35 on The Billboard 200 chart.

DEVILDRIVER’s previous album, 2007’s „The Last Kind Words“, shifted a little more than 14,000 copies during its first week of release to debut at No. 48 — around 40 percent more than the opening-week number of 2005’s „The Fury of Our Maker’s Hand“, which premiered at No. 117 with sales of 10,400.

The long-awaited third full-length album from AUGUST BURNS RED, „Constellations“, has debuted at an impressive No. 24 on The Billboard 200. Released last Tuesday, July 14, the LP has also landed at No. 8 on Current Rock Albums, No. 2 on Top Hard Music Albums (less than 300 units behind NICKLEBACK!) and No. 2 on the Christian Market chart.

With sales of 20,401 copies in its first week, „Constellations“ more than doubled the first-week numbers of its predecessor, 2007’s „Messengers“, which debuted in The Billboard 200 at No. 81 and went on to sell well over 80,000 copies.
