Which removes the sense of that question completely. It could as well be replaced by a simple „Hi“ or – since content seems to be of no further importance for that matter – „washing-machine!“.
Maybe my thinking in that case is just „too German“ (although I don’t like such generalizations) in a way that a question is actually intended as a request concerning the articulated subject. Am I strange?
