IN FLAMES To Begin Tracking New Album In Two Weeks – Mar. 24, 2005

Sweden’s IN FLAMES have posted the following message on their official web site:

„12 [new] songs have been written so far and we’re all extremely excited. Hopefully both old and new members of the IN FLAMES family will be pleased. Daniel [Svensson] will begin tracking drums in about two weeks and at the end of May we will have a new album finished. We’ll keep you updated about what’s going on in the studio.

„As you know by now we’re on Ozzfest this summer and it looks like a great bill this year with lots of METAL bands. Great to see that our friends in SOILWORK, THE HAUNTED and ARCH ENEMY will be there with us to spread the Swedish sound. Can’t wait to see you all in the dust and the heating sun.“

IN FLAMES singer Anders Fridén recently told Nuclear Blast magazine that the upcoming album „will be more uptempo“ and will feature „more guitar harmonies“ than was the case with 2004’s „Soundtrack To Your Escape“.

„gitarren-harmonien“ das klingt in meinen ohren danach,das die Melodien jetzt auf die klampfen verlagert werden,und die platte deutlich härter wird…

In Flames sind die Live-Macht. Das neuste Album ist nicht so mein Ding aber CLayman und Colony usw. sind arschgeil. Belibt nur zuhoffen das die nexte Platte back to the roots wird!!!!! :mrgit:

naja das beste album is ganz klar reroute to remain! das neue kommt da net ran ! ich als sehr großer in flames fan (2 mal live gesehen) hoffe das es ne mischung aus reroute to remain und clayman wird !!

Die Aussage hört sich ja auch stark nach „Back to the Roots“ an.
Schneller („Uptempo“) und mehr Gitarrenmelodien („harmonies“), das sind ja die Sachen, die auf der/den letzten beiden Platten fehlten.

Back To The Roots wäre dann aber „Lunar Strain“, „Subterranean-EP“ und „The Jesters Race“. :twisted:

Mir ist das eigentlich egal. Bis jetzt hat mir noch immer alles von denen gefallen, falsch machen können die nicht viel.

„Back to the roots“ gab’s vor allem schon mal, kennt man schon. Wichtig ist, dass die wieder bisschen was Neues machen. Ich find die STYE nach wie vor originell und frisch, nur die Produktion war kacke.

Also die Produktion von STYE ist doch ganz OK, sicher nichts weltbewegendes, aber die Songs krachen doch ganz gut.

abwarten der Dinge die da kommen …ein zweites Lunar Strain oder Jester Race wird es sowieso meiner Meinung nach nicht ..wie sollte man das auch nach toppen …also von daher lass ich mich einfach überraschen was dabei herumkommt…

Naja Lunar Strain zu toppen dürfte für In Flames nich so das Problem sein.
Das is ja wie ich finde das schlechteste In Flames-Album.

Aber Jester Race geht eigentlich nich mehr zu toppen.
