Ich bezweifle, dass das ein langfristiger Erfolg wird. Klar, die Leute werden es erstmal kaufen wie warme Semmeln, aber auf Dauer wird Axl nicht an alte Tage anknüpfen können. Das Album gibt es schnell für 9,90 EUR zu kaufen, da bin ich mir sicher.
Es ist zu viel passiert und es sind zu viele Jahre ins Land gezogen. Mitte, Ende der 1990er hätte Mr. Rose damit sicher noch einiges reißen können, so wird das Album aber eher zum Nostalgie-Trip werden und die Leute werden sich zurecht fragen, weshalb er so lange für einen im Grunde genommen einfachen Song wie „Chinese Democracy“ gebraucht hat. Und auch das restliche, bisher bekannte Material ist nicht sondern umfangreich bzw. anspruchsvoll…
Naja, ich freu mich trotzdem, dass es jetzt endlich rauskommt. Schön, dass ich das noch erleben darf! 😉
