Joa, MH sind schon ok, aber wie ich finde auch arg überbewertet. Aber mit der Meinung stehe ich wohl alleine da.
Wie dem auch sei, habe mir aufgrund der Vorschläge ENDLICH die Storm CD, das Isvind Debüt und das Enslaved Debüt bestellt. Habe ich schon ewig auf der Liste und ich stehe auch total auf solchen Kram. Habe übrigens gelesen, dass gerade das Storm Album wohl damals bei den Rezensenten der einschlägigen Magazine ziemlich schlecht angekommen ist. Kann das jemand wider-/be-legen?Zu dem Thema fallen mir übrigens noch das Borknagar-Debüt und frühere Arcturus ein, die vllt. nicht derart folkig orientiert sind, aber dennoch assoziiere ich sie mit dem Sound:

Highlights von metal-hammer.deSTORM wurde damals überall verissen. genau wie WONGRAVEN. also in der mainstream presse von damals.
aber zu der zeit wurde eh black metal und das ganze drumherum nur müde belächelt. kein vergleich zu heute.

Jetzt neu: Bezeichnet "Postmoderne Dekadenz" als Konstrukt!oder The Martyrium. Wobei ich von denen unberechtigterweise nur eine promo hier rumfliegen habe. eigentlich war das eine ziemlich brauchbare band.

Vier bzw. fünf verschiedene vocals in einem song, aber es harmoniert und baut aufeinander auf.

U.a. sind Bands wie Sons Of Fenris, das Label Scythe Of Death, sowie Ormgard in diesen Machenschaften involviert. Das der Herr ein umgedrehtes Swastika Kreuz trägt, hat nichts mit politischen Ideologien zu tun.
