Wie viele Teile der Doku soll es geben? Gibt es da schon Informationen?

Siehe das Interview mit Rod Smallwood weiter oben. Die nächste geht wahrscheinlich bis zur Fear of the Dark-Ära. Danach würde logischerweise die Bayley-Phase folgen, darauf dann Dickinsons Return bis up to now. Also ich würde sagen, noch mindestens drei.

Ich bin zwar nicht so´n Maiden Fan, aber ich muss zugeben das diese DVD jeden verdammten Cent wert ist und in absolut JEDE Metal-Sammlung gehört – basta! 😈

Hab sie nun auch gekriegt und bin wirklich begeistert. Das was ich bisher gesehen habe ist einsame Spitzenklasse! Genau SO muss eine DVD aufgemacht sein. Rares Material, alte Konzerte, eine informative und interessante Doku mit jensten Ex-Mitgliedern, und und und. Ein absolutes Muss!!!

Solche DVDs würde ich mir von jeder älteren Band wünschen, das ist Musikgeschichte!

Jau, Virtual XI find ich auch mega hässlich, aber No Prayer?? Wieso denn die? Ist doch prima gemacht! Nette Idee, schön umgesetzt.

Bei Thema Cover fällt mir ein, dass der offizielle 2005er Kalender von Maiden diesmal richtig genial ist. Nicht so wie der (noch) aktuelle, mit gestellten Bandfotos, sondern, es wurde online abgestimmt, welche Plattencover die Fans am besten finden, und die 13 Gewinner bilden jetzt den Kalender. Da freut man sich schon mal aufs nächste Jahr :D.

IRON MAIDEN To Release ‚Number Of The Beast‘ Single – Nov. 16, 2004

In celebration of IRON MAIDEN’s phenomenal 25-year history and in keeping with the recent international chart success of their double DVD, „The Early Years“, EMI will release „The Number of The Beast“ as a single on January 3, 2005.

The title track of the band’s third (and first No 1!) album, this single was a Top 20 hit when originally released in 1982, and is rightly regarded as an all-time MAIDEN classic. This song typifies the band’s sound signature of that era, from the chilling spoken introduction to the throat ripping opening scream from Bruce Dickinson. The single will be released in three very special limited-edition formats, featuring never-before-available live recordings from the Clive Burr charity shows at Brixton Academy in March 2002.

The news of the single release follows the spectacular reaction to the announcement of live shows for next summer. In Scandinavia 88,000 tickets sold within hours, with 51,000 sold out in 2 1/2 hrs for Gothenburg’s Ullevi Stadium, 22,000 sold out in a day for Helsinki’s Hartwall Arena (two shows) and 15,000 tickets first day for Oslo Spectrum (also two shows). Also recently on sale is the show at Paris Parc Des Princes Stadium on June 25 June. To satisfy insatiable MAIDEN fans, an official U.K. travel agent has been appointed to arrange official MAIDEN parties to the Paris show, with privileged access made available to the members of the fan club.

In response to repeated requests over the years, special limited edition prints of the original „Number of the Beast“ album artwork signed by artist Derek Riggs will be sold through Eddie’s Megastore. In true MAIDEN style, their fan club members will have first access to the prints,

The single is to be released on January 3, 2005 across three formats including an Enhanced CD, a strictly limited 7-Inch Colored Vinyl with free poster, and 12-Inch Picture Disc.

IRON MAIDEN: ‚Early Years‘ DVD Certified Gold; Band Confirmed For Germany’s WITH FULL FORCE – Dec. 21, 2004

According to the IRON MAIDEN fan site MaidenFans.com, MAIDEN’s recent „The History Of Iron Maiden – Part 1: The Early Years“ DVD has been certified gold in Spain for sales in excess of 10,000 copies. The group’s last DVD, „Visions of the Beast“ (released summer 2003) was certified both gold and platinum (25,000 copies sold).

The „Early Years“ DVD, which was released in North America in early November, covers the band’s course from its first days, back in the mid-’70s up until 1983 when MAIDEN went on their first major world tour.

In other news, IRON MAIDEN have been confirmed as the headliners of the With Full Force festival on June 2, 2005 at Airfield Roitzschjora in Löbnitz (near Leipzig), Germany. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, December 22.

Geile DVD, insbesondere die Sachen vom Rock und Pop Festival sind einmalig und für die die bisher auch nur die einzelenen Gigs haben eine grosse bereicherung (meiner wenigkeit hat die von den Scorpions und Priest und will unbedingt den von Ozzy)
