Hallo Freunde,
wir sind stolz, euch zwei absolute Hammerverpflichtungen für KEEP IT TRUE 13 im April 2010 bekannt geben zu können:
Erste Neuverpflichtung ist die kanadische Legende THOR. Es gibt wohl kaum einen kultigeren Charakter in der Heavy Metal Szene als Jon-Mikl Thor. Der kanadische Rockwarrior ist schon seit Mitte der Siebziger fester Bestandteil der Szene und fiel vor allem in den Achtzigern durch seine extravaganten Bühnenshows auf. Wer kann sich nicht an die legendären Wärmflaschen Aufblasaktionen oder das Stahlverbiegen erinnern. Zudem gelang THOR mit ‚Only The Strong’ ein absolutes Klassikeralbum mit Hits wie ‚Thunder On The Tundra’ oder ‚Let The Blood Run Red’. Leider hat es die Band nie nach Deutschland geschafft und wir haben alle Hebel in Bewegung gesetzt, damit THOR endlich auch einmal auf deutschen Bühnen den Hammer schwingen kann. Wir freuen uns auf Metal Entertainment der Extraklasse.
Der zweite Hammer ist die kalifornische Speed Metal Legende SAVAGE GRACE um Mainman Chris Logue. Für uns wird damit ein Traum war, denn seit dem allerersten KEEP IT TRUE wollten wir diese Band endlich mal für das KIT verpflichten. Mit „Master Of Disguise“ und „After The Fall From Grace“ hat die Band in den Achtzigern zwei absolute Meilensteine des Speed Metal geschaffen und sie war eine der am meisten geforderten KIT Bands. Wir hoffen einem Großteil der KIT Gemeinde auch hier ein Traum erfüllen zu können.

Hi Friends,
We are happy to be able to announce two amazing new acts for KEEP IT TRUE 13 in April 2010.
The first new addition is Canadian legend THOR. It is hard to find a more “cult” character in the metal scene than Jon-Mikl Thor. The Canadian Rockwarrior is part of the scene since the mid seventies and was famous for his extraordinary liveshows in the eighties. I think everybody remembers the blowing of the warm water bottle and the crushing of the steel bar…legendary!! Additionally to that, THOR released a highly important album called “Only The Strong”, which featured classic tracks like “Thunder On The Tundra” or “Let The Blood Run Red” and was his breakthrough. Unfortunately the band never made it to Germany through all these years and we are extremely proud we could work it out for KEEP IT TRUE, cause THOR fits like a glove to KIT. We cannot wait for THOR swinging the hammer on KEEP IT TRUE 13.
The second addition is Californian Speed Metal legend SAVAGE GRACE with mastermind Chris Logue. For us it is a dream come true, cause we tried to get the band since the very first KIT and now it becomes reality. With “Master Of Disguise” and “After The Fall From Grace” the band released two milestones of Speed Metal and is considered as one of the best bands ever of that genre. Since they were one of the most often asked for bands, we hope we also can fulfil the dream of many KIT Fans with this new addition.

und schlafhallen sind sowas von scheisse. da kann man höchstens saufen und rumlungern weils warm ist. aber schlafen is da nicht, weil die dinger meistens so leise sind wie ein motörheadkonzert.

leider muss noch eine weitere Band KEEP IT TRUE 12 absagen. MANTIC RITUAL (ex-MELTDOWN) werden leider nicht spielen, da es laut ihrem neuen Management nicht mehr möglich ist, andere Shows um das Festival im April herum zu buchen. Stattdessen werden die Newcomer PROCESSION als erste chilenische Bands das KIT 12 bereichern. Unter www.myspace.com/ironkodex könnt ihr euch die neuen Songs der gerade eben erschienenen EP anhören. Für uns sind PROCESSION der beste Newcomer im Bereich Doom seit vielen Jahren und Vergleiche zu ganz frühen CANDLEMASS und REVEREND BIZARRE sind hier nicht zu hoch gegriffen. Gebt der Band eine Chance und freut euch auf eine energiegeladene Performance an KIT 12.

unfortunally another band has to cancel their show at KEEP IT TRUE 12. MANTIC RITUAL (ex-MELTDOWN) will not be playing, because their new management says they are not able to book some shows around the festival in April.
But we already have a fantastic replacement for all doom fans. PROCESSION will be the first band from Chile performing at KEEP IT TRUE. For us PROCESSION is the best newcomer in the doom genre since years and comparisons to early CANDLEMASS and REVEREND BIZARRE are really true.
