Rettet dem Dativ...Fick mir...wem,ich?Highlights von metal-hammer.deOch joa. So ein Lexikon für die Ur-Suppe der Rockmusik, ist schon ne interessante Sache. Vielleicht kannste dann ja In deinem ersten Post so ’ne Art Index anlegen, in dem nachzulesen ist, welche Künstler/Bands auf welcher Seite zu finden sind.
Du nanntest sie ja schon. Und noch bevor ich das las, streunte mir als erstes der Name Iron Butterfly im Kopf herum. Ich denke, dass man stellvertretend deren bekanntesten Song nennen kann und sollte, weil dieses Meisterwerk so viele zukünftige Stilrichtungen miteinander vereint, bzw. wegweisend für viele kommenden Genres zu sein scheint. Ich schreibe extra „scheint“, weil diese Band und insbesondere dieser Song, irgendwie nur sehr selten als Einfluß genannt werden. Dabei ist das Stück progressiv, finster, doomig, diabolisch und heavy as fuck. Auch wenn Black Sabbath das alles mit ihrem Debüt noch mal toppen konnten (außer vielleicht die Prog-Geschichte), ist Iron Butterfly ’s In A Gadda Da Vida von 1968 mein persönlicher Startschuß für alle folgenden Bands, die man mit Hardrock und später mit XYZ Metal in Verbindung bringt.

Ich will da gar nicht drüber reden, von mir aus können die alle sofort andere Jobs anfangen oder sterben. Das interessiert mich Null, das macht mich aggressiv und ich will's auch nicht hören. Michael Weikath über Nu MetalDarayIch hör mir Focus allgemein gerne an, auch wenn dieser Song eher untypisch ist für Focus.
Ich hör wenn dann auch das ganze Moving Waves-Album an 🙂
