Ich könnt schon wieder kotzen: Schon wieder hat sich eine tolle Band augelöst „From A Second Story Window“ 😥
Und das nach dem tollen letzten Album!

„The past several years for us as From A Second Story Window have been quite a roller coaster ride. We have watched trends come and go, looked on as people grew in and out of an ever undulating „scene“, and had the chance to watch something we love, our music, grow into an expression we can all truly be proud of. However, the life in a band is much like those very roads we travel down on every tour; hills leading up, followed by valley’s dipping downward towards vast, level planes where things begin to feel stagnant and a bit too calm. Then around every corner is a new fad or statement that you can either grow with or simply step aside and let it be what it is, knowing that you are no longer connected at all anymore. For us, with this changing musical market and its inhabitants, it is simply our time to step aside and let the flow continue on without us. It is time for us to venture down new avenues of creativity and to find new things to enrich our lives fully. From A Second Story Window was something that gave us all hope and pride in our small part of the musical world, but with economical woe’s pulling us down, and changes in attitude towards the entire movement of „heavy“ music, it just seems right to call it quits and move on in our own ways.

„Please accept our deepest thanks to everyone out there who has ever helped us out, made it to our shows, partied with us afterwords (or before, ha ha), and most importantly listened to our music and truly cared about it as much as we did and still do. This is not an end for us as musical people, just an end for us as a group called From A Second Story Window, so be looking for little projects that any of us may do for fun in the future. Again, this entire trip has been a roller coaster ride, and I know that none of us are put out what-so-ever that we bought tickets and got in line! Thanks again to everyone out there, we’ve had a blast!“

Ach komm! Echt scheisse man! Hab mir noch nichtmal das aktuelle Album holen können! Echt schade! Der Vorgänger läuft bei mir immernoch ständig und sorgt für begeisterung

Argh, eine Bandauflösung, die mich wirklich trifft. Waren einfach eine unglaublich tolle und sympathische Band, deren Entwicklung sehr schön zu beobachten war mit den Jahren. Naja, immerhin kündigen sie neue Projekte an. Trotzdem: scheiße ist das!

Sänger von Machinemade God verlässt die Band

Dear all,

Today is a sad day for MMG fans around the world.
We are very sorry to announce, that Singer Flo is leaving the band for
several, personal and familiar, reasons. At present he sees no way to go on
and we really regret this fact. Nonetheless we have to accept and respect his decision.
With Flo we made great albums and played unforgettable shows, we had great
times together. We wish him all the best for the future.

„This was definately one of the toughest decisions I had to make, and
it was really hard to face the fact that I..m truely giving up on this
band. There are a lot of reasons that have brought me to this

Anyways, I wanna thank everyone who has ever been a part of MMG for the
good times I had while being in this band, all the people I have met,
the places I have seen just by playing music and doing what I love.

Thanks to everyone who suported us, came to our shows, bought our
stuff, booked us, promoted us, all the bands we had the chance and
pleasure to tour and share the stage with and everyone at METAL BLADE
RECORDS for giving us the chance to be a part of the MB-Family, and all

However we will continue to work on new material. Who will become the new
voice and face of the band has not been decided, yet - but, expect a cd
release in 2009. We are currently casting potential singers but, if you
think you are or know the right frontman for MMG and experienced enough (should live in germany / nordrhein-westfalen), feel free to contact us.

Ich glaub die hab ich schonmal im [B]Noise, Sludge, Drone, und andere musikalische Krankheiten-Thread gepostet. Sehr geile Band, haben aber auf der Platte noch wesentlich abgefuckteres Zeug. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Haha, ja, die sind wundervoll. Michel und Yves sind recht gute Freunde von mir, bin mit denen auch öfter mal unterwegs. Musik macht eigentlich ganz gut Spaß, nur irgendwie.. die Produktion will bei denen nie so richtig hinhauen. Die Demo war zu dumpf, bei dem Lied dass mir der Heizmann geschickt hat konnte man die Gitarren nicht hören.. ansonsten ganz guter Metalcore, live kommts aber wesentlich geiler und druckvoller.

Man sollte auch mal bei deren Kollegen von All Its Grace (deren Drummer ist der Bruder vom Heizmann, dem ATM-Gitarrist) und Affective Insanity reinhören.

Durfte ich schon öfters im JUZ anschauen und werden in letzter Zeit immer bekannter! Stil würd ich jetzt mal grob als „Metalcore/Deathcore“ bezeichenen. Typische Stilmittel wie Dissonanzen, ordentliche Breakdowns und paar Frognoises findet man auch.
Unbedingt auch „Thank the Acadamy“ von denen anhöre (ganz unten)… immer noch mein Lieblingslied von denen irgendwie. Dürfte euch gefallen… (Live kommen die aber immer noch ne Spur geiler)
