Was lohnt sich denn noch von Toxoplasma? Kenne bis jetzt nur das Debüt. Und die Saracen müsste ich vorm KIT auch noch zu hören kriegen.--

Guck mal im Biete-Forum, ich glaube der andysocial will die grade für nen 5er loswerden.
Saracen solltest du auf jeden Fall mal anchecken. Besonders true sind die allerdings nicht, das geht mehr in Richtung Hard Rock oder Prog Rock. Ich finds aber absolut super, kö nnte für mich ein Höhepunkt werden beim KIT. Leider gibts die auf CD nur als meiner Meinung nach recht hässlichen 2CD Rerelease zusammen mit ner neueren Scheibe…

Zu diesem Album hab ich glaube ich schon öfters meinen Senf dazugegeben. Und auch diesmal werde ichs in „Grund und Boden loben“.
Bei „The Eye of Every Storm“ handelt es sich um das „ruhigste“ neurosis Werk. Was aber nicht bedeutet, dass hier nicht ab und an die fetzen fliegen. Die Leutchen gehen es nur etwas ruhiger an im Gegensatz zu „Times of Grace“ oder „Through Silver in Blood“.
Ich (und unzählige andere) bezeichne diese Band und Ihre Werke nicht als „schön“ sondern vielmehr als Katharsis. Der Ansatz ist hier der gleiche wie auf jeder Neurosis Platte, nur anders umgesetzt.Los gehts mir „Burn“, dieser song hat sich so dermaßen in mein gehirn eingebrannt (haha wortwitz) -> „You lie in the snow, cold but not dead stare into the sun, long since its last heat“.. Ganz groß!Dann kommt auch bald der erhoffte Ausbruch (don’t let it steal your eyes!!). Auch „No River to take me home“ kriecht bedrohlich daher und lasst fast depressionen aufkommen. „A Season in the Sky“ ist lyrisch so dermaßen stark das es weh tut.
Doch mein Favorit auf „The Eye of Every Storm“ ist und bleibt „Bridges“. Das ist DER Song.
In 11:35 min wirst du mürbe gemacht, zerrissen und wieder ausgespuckt. Ein schepperndes, monotones (aber unglaublich geiles) schlagzeug gallopiert im Hintergrund und dann: Drones(!) zerstören alles.. wow.-> You’ve started a fire , you’ve started a fire you can’t put out
