Savages – Silence Yourself
Bisher hab ich erst zwei bis drei Durchläufe gehabt und scheinbar lauf ich da ja bisschen dem Hype hinterher. Sehr ordentlicher Post-Punk, der gerne mal knarzen und krachen darf und bei dem vor allem das Bassspiel sehr positiv auffällt.Die beiden Zero Absolu hab ich beide leider erst einmal gehört, haben mich aber beide auch sofort mitgerissen. Träumerisch, majestätisch – und dennoch irgendwie, gleichzeitig so unschuldig. Tolles Kopfkino-Zeug.
Auch bei St. Vincent bin ich etwas hinterher aber die Platte ist absolut fantastisch. Noisiger, eingängiger, frecher Pop, dazu eine der markantesten weiblichen Stimmen die es gibt. Starkes Album.

Musik-Sammler „I met God and he had nothing to say to me.“Ah, danke. Ja, das Gefühl mit dem Hinterherlaufen kenne ich nur zu gut. Vor allem der St. Vincent müsste ich eigentlich noch ein paar Umdrehungen gönnen, ist schon eine außergewöhnliche Künstlerin.
In die Savages höre ich mal rein, habe ich bisher aufgeschoben, obwohl es mit Sicherheit meinen Geschmack treffen sollte.So, in der letzten Woche liefen bei mir:

zur Asmegin – Hin Vordende Sod & So
sehr schönes Folk Metal Album, und hier passt der Begriff Folk (wenn ich an die Diskussion im Pagan/ Viking Metal Thread denke, was man unter Folk Metal verstehen soll/ darf) Metal. Sehr urige Stimmung. Finde im Gegensatz zu den anderen Vertretern der Zunft ein recht kauziges Album. Lt. Metal-Archives sollen ja Manegarm, Myrkgrav und auch Mithotyn am ähnlichsten klingen. Ich würde aber eher die beiden Otyg Alben als Referenzen nehmen, um jemanden die Musik von Asmegin zu beschreiben. Btw. zwar ist der Status aus „unknown“, aber ich würde mich über was neues von ihnen, wenn es auch nur eine EP wird, freuen.--
