Der Gesang ist relativ unauffällig, die Growls sind vielleicht ausgefeilter, aber atmosphärisch gesehen erinnert das Ganze schon stark an Cult Of Luna’s „Vertikal“.
Ja, ist mir auch aufgefallen, wir mögen die gleichen Bands im Kern (v.a. Tool und Isis, bei mir sinds Alben wie Lateralus und Panopticon, die ich immer wieder hören kann), dann gibt es aber einen größeren Streuraum, was ich aber auch nicht schlecht finde. So ergänzen sich die Meinungen.--

Musiksammlung RYMasgard1980Schöne POTW. Hab gestern in die Finsterforst mal auf YT reingehört. Im Moment nicht ganz so meins.
Eternal Oath hab ich vor kurzem auch entdeckt.ja, Finsterforst haben schon ne Entwicklung durchgemacht. Anfangs eher auf Gedudel getrimmt (fand ich auch reizvoll, gerade „Schatten der Nacht“ beispielsweise), dann gings in die Richtung Moonsorrow, von der sie sich mit dem neuen Album wieder ein wenig entfernen. Find ich gut, dass sie ausprobieren, bin mit dem neuen Album aber noch nicht durch.
Die letzte Eternal Oath hab ich mir eigentlich erstmal nur der Vollständigkeit halber zugelegt, schon die vorigen sagte mir nichtmehr so wirklich zu. Die „Righteous“ von 2002 find ich aber ziemlich gut. Auch wenn die Zeit dieser Art von Melo Death mittlerweile vorbei ist.
