Diese Studie wurde im Jahr 2010 von der Medizinischen Zeitschrift „The Lancet“ herausgegeben, und die tabelle die deconstruction gepostet hatte, in der die „schädlichkeit“ der drogen angegeben wurde bezieht sowohl die shcädigung von konsumenten, als auch die schädigung von dritten mit ein, daher der hohe wert für alkohol.

die scores die hier vergeben werden, sollen übrigens eine lineare skala haben.
dh. wenn etwas einen „drug-related-damage“ score von 100 hat, ist es laut studie doppelt so gefährlich wie etwas mit einem score von 50 in dieser kategorie. die zahl 100 ist willkürlich gewählt, und wird der gefährlichsten droge in der jeweiligen kategorie zugeteilt – außerdem sind die scores zusätzlich noch skaliert, weil man manche kategorien für wichtiger hält als andere, was natürlich kontextabhängig ist.
