Interessante Platte die irgendwo zwischen Shoegaze mit Black-Metal-Produktion, entspanntem Folk ala Sufjan Stevens und Ambient-artigen Zügen schwebt. Dabei gibt es düstere, verzerrte Tracks mit teils harschen Vocals (die ich aber etwas schwächer finde als die normalen) und auch sehr entspannte Songs. Auf jeden Fall eine Platte mit Potenzial, melancholisch, stellenweise düster, aber auch manchmal fast schon fröhlich und die Seele streichelnd. Gelungenes Ding.
Pain Of Salvation – Road Salt Two
Jau, eigentlich ist das hier ganz einfach. Wer RS1 mochte, wird auch RS2 mögen. GIldenlöw wie immer fantastisch, die Songs spannend und interessant arrangiert, mir gefällts. Wer allerdings nur Alben wie Remedy Lane oder Perfect Element mag, sollte lieber Abstand halten.

Sehr geiles Album, deutlich spannender und interessanter als die Crap The Skye, ich hab die Platte schon ziemlich häufig gehört, aber wirklich beschreiben könnte man das Ding am besten durch ein Song-By-Song-Review, und dazu hab ich kein Bock :haha: Auf jeden Fall sehr experimentierfreudig, wild, abwechslungsreich und dazu endlich wieder einfach sehr gelunge Songs.

Meinung?
Also die ersten 2 Tracks sind einfach perfekt! Atmosphärisch und Songtechnisch eine 10/10. Vor allem der Sänger gefällt mir besonders gut. Und „Of Darkness“ kann mit einem schicken Rainbow riff aufwarten. Danach fällt die Demo zwar etwas ab aber auch die letzten beiden Songs wissen zu gefallen. Dark Lord ist ja ein Cover Stück. Im Gesamten würde ich Lucem Ferre eine 9/10 geben. Wegen der 2. Hälfte und damit für ein hoffentlich baldiges Full Length noch Luft nach oben besteht. TOP!

leider noch nirgends, da gerade Zivieldienst angesagt ist <.< Heuer sieht's diesbezüglich sowieso mager aus, außer die Neuerscheinungen meiner absoluten Favoriten (Moonsorrow, Primordial etc) hab ich mir so gut wie gar nichts kaufen können. aber zumindest Gangs steht auf dem Plicht-Einkaufszettel, das Teil ist unerreicht geil! ^^

The Hunter ist ein top Album geworden. Nach anfänglicher Skepsis hatts mich jetzt komplett überzeugt.
Die verdaulichere Ausrichtung ist durchaus gelungen und bringt sogar ein paar echte Perlen zutage.
Black Tongue ist ein perfekter Opener, Mastodon pur und wunderbar melodisch.
Curl of the Burl ist hier wohl der „Radio-Rock-Song“ der Platte, Ohrwurm garantiert.. macht spass 🙂
von dort an wird das Niveau konstant gehalten. Erster Rastpunkt ist dann der Titeltrack der mich irgendwie an Crack the Skye erinnert (welches übrigens nahezu perfekt war). Dann kommen zwei überdurchschnittliche Songs… und Track 10 „Creature Lives“ lässt mich dann breit grinsen.
Thx Intro..Classic Rock..Hymne 🙂Hervorzuheben ist danach auf jeden fall noch Spectrelight (welches noch etwas an Leviathan und Blood Mountain erinnert) und das arschgeile Bedazzled Fingernails. „The Sparrow“ ist dann der gewohnt starke Mastodon Album Closer. Wobei „Pendulous Skin“ eh nicht mehr zu toppen ist.

Wo das Meisterwerk sein soll weiss ich hierbei nicht. Definitiv stark aber wirklich umgehauen hatts mich zu keiner Zeit. House Carpenter hat mich sogar echt genervt.Ich bleibe dran.
