Axe To Fall@ New Millenium: Meinungen zu Jay-Z, Raf 3.0 und The Roots erwünscht. 🙂

Jay-Z enttäuscht mich ein wenig. Ist kein schlechtes Album, aber auch kein besonders gutes. Holy Grail, Tom Ford und Oceans gefallen mir richtig gut und auch sonst hat das Album so seine Momente, aber naja… nichts was man unbedingt hören muss.

Das RAF 3.0 Album gefällt mir richtig gut. Klingt zwar irgendwie überhaupt nicht nach dem Vorgänger, aber das ist überhaupt nicht schlimm. Geht alles ein wenig ruhiger zur Sache ohne großartiges Dubstep-WHOPWHOP. Zum Quadrat und Fort sind richtig geniale Songs, was da aber hauptsächlich an den Features liegt (MoTrip & Tua). Bis auf Schwarze Sonne kein Skipkandidat dabei. Top Album.

Zum The Roots Album kann ich noch nicht viel sagen. Hab es nur 2, 3 Mal nebenbei laufen gehabt ohne wirklich was mitzubekommen. :haha: Soweit ich das beurteilen kann ist es aber zumindest „nicht schlecht“.

Nadja & Black Boned Angel:
Gefällt mir gut, dürfen gerne öfters was zusammen machen. Den dröhnenden Sound kennt man ja von beiden, aber in der Kollaboration kommt dann doch eine ganz andere Stimmung rüber. Im Gegensatz zu den sonst eher düsteren Sachen wirkt Christ send Light schon fast fröhlich, sehr meditativ, und auch der chorale Gesang (!!!!!) tut sein bestes um zu diesem Eindruck beizutragen. Eigentlich passiert noch weniger als bei Nadja oder BBA alleine, gefällt mir aber auch besser als alles was ich von einer der beiden Bands bisher gehört hab.

Vales spielen einen schnellen Mix aus Oldschool Screamo und melodischem Hardcore, treibendes Drumming, heisere Vocals, herrliche Melodien, immer wieder durchtränkt von ruhigen Passagen und Ausuferungen.
Definitiv eine DER Neuentdeckungen der letzten Monate für mich, ganz großes Kino. Spannend, frisch und emotional ohne Ende. Die Engländer können’s einfach.

The 3rd and the Mortal hast du mir in unserem Ewigtechtelmechtel zum Fraß vorgeworfen, damals. Die Ep gefällt mir sehr gut, schleppend, leicht dröhnend aber trotzdem irgendwo... ätherisch. Vor allem mit dem Gesang dazu, der absolut himmlisch reinpasst. Obwohl ich den Samplersong schon sehr gerne mochte definitiv eine positive Überraschung gewesen!

Stella was a diver and she was always down ist einfach ein nahezu perfektes Lied.

Und auch mit der Angelic Process hast du ein Highlight meiner Woche rausgepickt, weshalb ich wieder mal überenthusiastisch rüberkomme. Mädchendrone der Spitzenklasse, hypnotisierend, berührend, liebääääää <3
